London City Mission (LCM) exist to share the good new of Jesus alongside the local church of London, equipping everyday Christians to lovingly bring a message of hope in Christ to those least likely to hear it.

After developing a new overall strategy, LCM needed support to develop a theory of change to define and communicate how they intended that strategy to bring about change and indicators to measure the success of that strategy.

We facilitated a development process with a group of LCM’s senior management and church leaders within LCM’s network to discuss and define answers to five critical theory of change questions:

  1. What is the need LCM exists to meet?

  2. Who does LCM engage to address this?

  3. What does success look like?

  4. What does LCM deliver to influence this?

  5. What makes LCM’s approach effective?

From this content, Eido developed visual and narrative theory of change that gave language and clarity to these answers.

From this theory of change, Eido developed a framework of measurable indicators of change that LCM could use to track their theory of change across all five areas.

The Theory of Change has brought common vocabulary to our strategy discussion.  We now have a clear focus on the outcomes we are really looking for from all aspects of our work, and we have a common set of metrics across the organisation to measure impact.  Your help in getting us to this point has been phenomenal.

“Eido understood what we are all about spiritually led on this process with excellence. The decision to bring in church leaders was good and I wouldn't have done it without you.”
